AIA Design & Health Series: CASE STUDY: Lincoln Glen Manor

View / Download

This report is part of a series produced by the American Institute of Architects. Individually, the reports affirm six evidence-based design approaches that positively influence human health through design practices and policies: environmental quality, natural systems, physical activity, safety, sensory environments, and social connectedness. Collectively, they represent an intellectual and practical convergence of design and health essential to designing a better world.

The series converges architecture with public health and leads designers to ask:

1. What part of public health belongs to design?

2. How do we drive design into codes and standards to intentionally achieve positive health outcomes?

3. How can design solutions address a wide range of health outcomes as a question of equity?
