Why is this important?
Migration and population movement play important roles in determining the size and growth of populations. Information on migrant inflows and outflows and their demographic characteristics can be used to plan for future economic development and the expansion of social services. Additionally, neighborhood, community, and civic attachment and engagement are affected by these same inflows and outflows of population.
