Many coastal and waterfront communities have found that conventional development patterns threaten the assets they treasure most.
This publication is a guide to coastal communities, acknowledging the challenges and opportunities coastal communities face and provides a detailed description of each of the 10 Smart Growth principles followed by tools and techniques for implementing these approaches in coastal communities.
